Logistics Senior Principal
About The Position
SAIC is looking for a Logistics Senior Principal Engineer to perform system fault analysis, life cycle maintenance and integrated product support (IPS) of major PMW-160 systems, specifically CANES. This position is heavily involved with parts forecasting, vendor relations, EOL/EOS purchasing, Spares Lists, and PSD. The Logistics Engineer ensures program data is distributed to other Logistics team members as needed for Logistics product development, including CDMD-OA, ILS Checklists, Provisioning, ILS Packages, Technical Documentation, PMS, DMSMS, and PSD. Thorough knowledge of all ILS areas and products is required. Experience with hardware drawing analysis, BOM analysis, and inputs to ECRs desired. Understanding of hardware and software obsolescence required. This is a Remote role.
Requirements
- Bachelors and fifteen (15) years or more related experience
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must have an Active Secret Clearance to start
- Candidates must have a thorough knowledge of all areas of Logistics and Logistics product deliverables, including Provisioning, ILS Certifications, PMS, Technical Documentations, ILS Packages, CDMD-OA, PSD, DMSMS, and ECR Process.
- Candidates must have technical, engineering, or logistical background involving hardware or software systems.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with hardware drawing analysis, BOM analysis, and inputs to ECRs desired.
- Understanding of hardware and software obsolescence required.
Responsibilities
- Controls the efficient flow of goods, services and information between points of origin through customer placement in order to meet customer requirements.
- Will also plan, schedule and manage the efficient movement of material from receiving or the warehouse to production.
- Develops raw material requirements, scheduling requirements from engineering specifications, production schedules, and plans and manages material movement with purchasing, warehouse, and production.
- Ensures the execution and continuous improvement of standard logistic processes.
- Logistics functions encompass maintenance, supply, transportation and logistics plans.
- Inherently included as logistics tasks are program formulation, policy planning, coordination, inspection, integrated logistics processes, joint planning logistics, acquisition and wholesale logistics, product support, asset visibility, material management and supervision.
