Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Some advanced positions may require an MBA
  • 3–5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field, with experience in a supervisory or leadership role
  • Proficiency with logistics, warehouse management (WMS), and transportation management (TMS) software
  • Strong understanding of inventory control and supply chain management principles
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements for shipping and handling
  • Exceptional leadership and team management abilities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for handling complex challenges
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management capabilities
  • Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily activities related to shipping, receiving, transportation, and warehousing for multi-site locations
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve logistical efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize delivery times
  • Schedule and coordinate shipments to ensure on-time delivery and continuity of operations
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels, conduct audits, and use logistics software to track stock levels and forecast demand
  • Lead, train, and manage logistics coordinators, warehouse employees, and other team members, fostering a culture of high performance and safety
  • Plan and manage warehouse layouts, product storage conditions, and fulfillment procedures
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and logistical data to identify trends, measure performance, and implement improvements
  • Maintain adherence to company policies and industry regulations, including safety (OSHA) and transportation (DOT) standards
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers, carriers, and other third-party logistics (3PL) providers
  • Quickly troubleshoot and resolve any logistical problems, such as shipping delays or supply chain disruptions
