Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Some advanced positions may require an MBA
3–5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field, with experience in a supervisory or leadership role
Proficiency with logistics, warehouse management (WMS), and transportation management (TMS) software
Strong understanding of inventory control and supply chain management principles
Familiarity with regulatory requirements for shipping and handling
Exceptional leadership and team management abilities
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for handling complex challenges
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and time management capabilities
Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

Oversee daily activities related to shipping, receiving, transportation, and warehousing for multi-site locations
Develop and implement strategies to improve logistical efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize delivery times
Schedule and coordinate shipments to ensure on-time delivery and continuity of operations
Maintain accurate inventory levels, conduct audits, and use logistics software to track stock levels and forecast demand
Lead, train, and manage logistics coordinators, warehouse employees, and other team members, fostering a culture of high performance and safety
Plan and manage warehouse layouts, product storage conditions, and fulfillment procedures
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and logistical data to identify trends, measure performance, and implement improvements
Maintain adherence to company policies and industry regulations, including safety (OSHA) and transportation (DOT) standards
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers, carriers, and other third-party logistics (3PL) providers
Quickly troubleshoot and resolve any logistical problems, such as shipping delays or supply chain disruptions
