About The Position

The Logistics Manager is responsible for coordinating all LTL, FTL and ocean container shipments both inbound and outbound for Excell Marketing and Bulls I Toy companies. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions: Manage all inbound and outbound transportation activities, including LTL, FTL, ocean container, and small-parcel shipments, for Excell Marketing and Bulls I Toy. Negotiate competitive freight rates and service terms with carriers and freight brokers for both inbound and outbound shipments. Manage and maintain strong working relationships with all freight brokers, carriers, and transportation service providers. Coordinate with the UPS representative to forecast small-parcel shipment volumes and resolve service or billing issues. Ensure all shipments are properly classified and routed to balance cost efficiency with customer service requirements. Oversee preparation and accuracy of all shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading (BOLs), commercial invoices, and other required transportation documents. Monitor shipment performance and proactively resolve issues related to late, missing, or discrepant shipments with vendors, carriers, and customers. Review and comply with all customer routing guides to ensure shipments align with customer requirements and to avoid chargebacks. Communicate product arrival dates and shipment status to the Merchandise Team and other internal stakeholders. Coordinate with freight brokers and internal teams to manage international imports and overseas product shipments. Work closely with the Distribution Team to align shipment timing with required “on-sale” dates and establish shipping priorities. Collaborate with the Warehouse Operations Team to plan labor needs, receiving schedules, and shipping priorities in advance of product arrivals. Coordinate with vendors to authorize and schedule shipment releases for transportation. Facilitate effective communication across all internal and external parties to ensure the efficient flow of goods. Act as the primary troubleshooter for transportation- and logistics-related issues impacting product flow. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a professional environment with increasing levels of responsibility – preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Outstanding computer skills, including advanced level of knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Outstanding proactive communication skills and experience working with people of varying skills and backgrounds.
  • Familiarity with rate shop software.
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Extensive knowledge of current Federal and International regulations for transporting merchandise
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple processes at a time.
  • Strong organizational skills.
