About The Position

Exentec is currently seeking a Logistics Manager, This role is responsible for ensuring the project schedules and delivery of equipment, material, and components are on track. The Logistics Manager is also responsible for monitoring and leading the logistics activities by tracking the delivery of all project orders to their designated delivery points.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, material management or any related field of study is preferred (but not required). Equivalent experience of 10+ years in Production Planning/Master Scheduling/Supply Chain Management/Materials Management in manufacturing environments will also be highly desirable.
  • ERP knowledge; minimum 5+ years
  • Purchasing, Materials, Warehouse Management; minimum 7+ years
  • Knowledge in supply chain and logistics
  • Must have excellent computer skills with a good working knowledge of Microsoft suite

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Made 2 Manage (M2M) ERP system a plus

Responsibilities

  • Strong understanding of ERP, purchasing, planning and warehouse functions and requirements
  • Manage and delegate work activities/tasks to direct reports related to purchasing, logistics and production scheduling. Oversee training and development of direct reports
  • Maintain the purchasing and planning modules in the ERP system. Manage and control inventory levels to ensure accuracy, meet demand, and minimize non-moving inventory risk. Develop periodic inventory counts as needed.
  • Maintain strict control over inventory levels and procedures to ensure inventory accuracy
  • Ensure adherence to shipping and receiving policies and procedures
  • Develops and implements warehouse plans that may positively impact the production, distribution, and inventory of finished products to enhance product flow
  • Reviews supplier production schedules, monitor supplier workload and status of sub-orders
  • Participates in routine project procurement calls and report on shipments and logistics activities
  • Develops logistical cost and risk analysis on managing the movement of materials and equipment
  • Manages with 3rd Party Logistics companies as well as supplier carriers to confirm and setup deliveries
  • Manages all inventory at project sites, warehouses or at supplier’s facilities
  • Updates material status logs and databases.
  • Collaborates with onsite management for all deliveries and returns
  • Oversees implementation of warehousing, distribution, inventory management, or related strategies
  • Administers organizational logistics policies and standards governing the movement of goods or supplies
  • Implements changes meant to improve efficiency and reduce costs associated with the logistics function
  • Manage relationships with vendors
  • Other duties as assigned
