Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • 7+ years of procurement and contract management experience within capital projects, ideally in the pharmaceutical, chemical, or industrial sectors
  • Strong knowledge of EPC/EPCM models, FEED execution, and sourcing of engineering, construction, and process equipment packages
  • Experience with various contract forms (lump-sum, cost-plus, target cost) and risk allocation strategies
  • Working knowledge of local procurement regulations and construction law

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and scheduling integration tools; strong understanding of critical path method (CPM) scheduling
  • Expertise in earned value management, cost/schedule integration, risk analysis, and reporting

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage procurement and contracting strategies aligned with project scope, objectives, and schedules.
  • Define packaging, sourcing, and engagement models that balance risk, cost, and scope expectations.
  • Support WBS development and collaborate with engineering, finance, and legal teams to optimize sourcing decisions.
  • Deliver strategic sourcing initiatives that drive value through consolidation, standardization, and cost reduction.
  • Oversee pre-award activities, tender clarifications, and contract negotiations to ensure technical and commercial alignment.
  • Establish and maintain procurement and contract coordination procedures across FEED and EPCM phases.
  • Review, approve, and administer contracts, ensuring compliance with standards, scope, safety, and governance requirements.
  • Manage consultant and contractor performance to ensure timely, compliant delivery of procurement outcomes.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between project teams, consultants, and suppliers, providing clear status and risk updates.
  • Identify, mitigate, and monitor procurement risks, KPIs, and supplier performance while promoting HSSEQ and safety-first practices.
