About The Position

The Logistics Management Specialist II serves as a key contributor to the planning, execution, and oversight of logistics programs with a specialized focus on Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) compliance and Government Property Management. This role ensures that all logistics operations, asset controls, and property accountability processes meet federal regulatory requirements, agency policies, and audit readiness standards. The specialist supports end‑to-end lifecycle management of government‑owned property, including acquisition, receipt, utilization, maintenance, inventory, and disposition. Responsibilities include conducting internal audits, preparing documentation for external audits, validating asset records, and ensuring that all processes align with DoD FIAR guidance, the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and agency‑specific property management regulations. The position requires strong analytical capabilities to identify compliance gaps, implement corrective actions, and develop standardized processes that strengthen internal controls and enhance auditability. This role directly contributes to the organization’s ability to maintain audit readiness, reduce financial risk, and ensure responsible stewardship of government assets.
