Who You Are: Inventory Associate in the Logistics Department, you will be responsible for counting and monitoring product inventories in our warehouse to ensure materials align with the declared lists and documents. Besides their cycle counting responsibilities, they are also in charge of conducting reviews and assessments, utilizing software to evaluate product inventories, measuring, and weighing products, maintaining records, opening and re-packaging shipments, organizing products according to protocols, locating lost goods, and reporting inconsistent or damaged goods. An Inventory Associate Logistics Level I will develop and recommend strategies to enhance inventory procedures, provide assistance to staff, and participate in maintaining work areas clean. A Day in the Life: In any given day, you might find yourself doing these job-related tasks. Inventory Management Ensuring and assisting all the daily, weekly, and quarterly inventory cycle counts are complete for all product types, weighing stock and adjusting counts for all types of stock. This position will perform and be responsible for technical and clerical work for the Logistics Department of Urban Electric Co and is primarily responsible for maintaining the control and accuracy of inventory. Ensure assigned stock locations, print bin/shelf labels for purchased parts, stocked parts, and supplies reflect accurately while matching virtually and physically. Ensure stock room/fulfillment shelves are well-organized and tidy. Work with Pickers and Receivers to offer suggestions for improvement and process reminders. Ensure set up of new locations with labels and bins for all new product launches each week. Understand minimum quantity indicators and replenishment systems used in stocking. Participate in revision conversions and new product launches as they pertain to stock. Observe and recommend adjustments to stock levels and replenishment triggers for Buyers. Reviews and maintains inventory system; facilitates upgrades to related database and/or software under the direction of the Inventory Lead/Inventory Control Manager. Conducts frequent spot and partial audits of physical inventory. Operates PIT equipment (forklift, wave, Sidewinder) when necessary. Data Management Become proficient in our MRP system for all inventory-related transactions. Become familiar with inventory adjustment codes and reports to categorize and summarize adjustments. Balance inventory counts into MRP system, research discrepancies, then log and summarize data in Microsoft Excel daily. Look into inventory discrepancies and physically track down stock to ensure counts are correct. Utilize internal reports and datasets to identify and fix inventory data tracking errors.. Have familiarity with Bill-Of-Materials (BOMs), Job Routings, and CAD print reading so adjustments can be recommended and/or made as needed. Weekly Inventory Tasks List Prepare count sheets using MRP system Perform metal, glass, shade, frame, consumables, purchased component, machined parts, wire, and other counts weekly per schedule and as required to resolve discrepancies. Perform recounts as required Audit the QC outgoing shelf each week. Audit glass bulk racks to ensure accuracy each week. Check shade, frame and box material request from Fulfillment Center for restock. Moderate and adjust material request daily via the material request report. Train/assist in other functional areas as assigned What Will Set You Up for Success: You have an aptitude for numbers, and you pay attention to details. Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time. Ability to operate a forklift or be trained to do so. Earnings Starting Logistics Associates begin at $20.00/hour!
