About The Position

The Logistics Engineer & Lifecycle Logistician brings highly specialized product support and provisioning expertise to the program. This role is responsible for the hands-on execution of provisioning documentation, Level of Repair Analysis, maintenance strategy development, technical manual coordination, spare parts planning, and all the detailed logistics engineering work that ensures the program data logger hardware is fully supportable throughout its lifecycle. This individual works under the Product Support Manager and interfaces with the Systems Engineer for technical data, the Warehouse/Assembly Technicians for supply chain execution, and the Maintenance Functional SMEs for operational support concept validation. This position is located in Quantico, VA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in DoD logistics engineering or product support, specifically provisioning and sustainment
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with GEIA-STD-0007 (Logistics Product Data) and GEIA-HB-0007 provisioning processes
  • Knowledge of MIL-HDB-502 and provisioning documentation development (PPL, PPLI, LLTIL, TTEL, CBIL)
  • Experience with Level of Repair Analysis methodologies and maintenance strategy development
  • Familiarity with Federal Logistics Information System (FLIS), NSN assignment, and CAGE code processes
  • Active Secret clearance

Nice To Haves

  • DAU Life Cycle Logistics certification (Level I minimum, Level II preferred)
  • Prior experience on USMC or Navy provisioning conferences and PTD submissions
  • Experience with MIL-STD-130 IUID marking and MIL-PRF-32216A technical manual development
  • Familiarity with DLA provisioning processes and spare parts management systems
  • Knowledge of DMSMS management processes and obsolescence forecasting tools
  • Prior experience supporting electronics, sensor, or communications hardware lifecycle logistics in DoD
  • Experience with EIA-649 configuration management in the context of engineering change proposals and DCNs

Responsibilities

  • Execute provisioning documentation development per GEIA-STD-0007 and GEIA-HB-0007: PPL, PPLI, LLTIL, TTEL, CBIL, and DCNs per PWS Section 4.3.4
  • Prepare for and support the Provisioning Guidance Conference (PGC) and subsequent Provisioning Conferences per PWS Sections 4.3.1–4.3.2, including disassembly of production hardware for PTD validation
  • Develop the Provisioning Plan (PP) per MIL-HDB-502 guidance, establishing provisioning down to the Field Maintenance Level per PWS Section 4.3.3
  • Conduct Level of Repair Analysis inputs to support USMC maintenance strategy determination per PWS Section 4.3.16
  • Develop Spares Acquisition Integrated with Production (SAIP) listings including LRU identification, manufacturer data, CAGE codes, NSN assignment, and Maintenance Replacement Rate calculations per PWS Section 4.3.15
  • Prepare Engineering Data for Provisioning (EDFP) per PWS Section 4.3.12 and Items Logistics Data Records (ILDR) per FED-STD-5 when EDFP is inadequate per PWS Section 4.3.14
  • Support DMSMS forecasting and obsolescence alert notices per PWS Section 4.3.17
  • Coordinate OEM technical manual requirements per PWS Section 4.1, ensuring copyright releases and government reproduction rights
  • Support development of custom Operator and Maintenance Technical Manuals per MIL-PRF-32216A standards
  • Manage packaging, handling, storage, and transportation (PHS&T) requirements per MIL-STD-2073-1 and MIL-STD-129
  • Support IUID marking plans and verification per MIL-STD-130 and coordinate with the IUID Registry
  • Develop and maintain spare parts consumption and refreshable consumables forecasts for budget planning
