How Will You Make An Impact? The Logistics Driver manages a vehicle transporting materials, goods, equipment, and personnel. Location: This role will be (home) based at our Clinton, MA facility and will require local travel (as a Driver) between our Clinton, MA and Devens, MA sites. Hours: Will start off working an 8-hour Monday-Friday 7am-3pm or 4pm shift (with OT included) and then will integrate to a 12-hour rotational shift within a month or so (hours for this will be 6am-6pm; days will vary during the week, depending on business needs).

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • At least 6 months-1 year of experience at a minimum
  • Or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training
  • Fluent in verbal and written English.
  • Mechanical ability to detect abnormalities in the unit (This is a leased vehicle and would be serviced with the lease provider).
  • Knowledge of traffic regulations.
  • Position requires an MVR and DOT physical.
  • Bronze Certification Must obtain certification through Workday or In-Class training. Within one year of hire, must lead one project and actively participate in two additional projects.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Shipping and Receiving functions.
  • Successfully perform all warehouse cross-functional roles.
  • Exhibit capability to perform all warehouse cross-functional roles across both facilities: Clinton and Devens.

Responsibilities

  • Operates trucks to transport materials, goods, equipment and personnel.
  • Supervises the loading and unloading of the vehicle.
  • Responsible for the cleaning, lubrication and minor repairs of the truck.
  • Acts as assistant storekeeper in the warehouse area or with system transactions, as needed.
  • Assists with inventory.
  • Supports all programs and initiatives in the areas of health, safety, environmental and quality.
  • Supports all programs and initiatives related to the code of ethics values and beliefs of Nypro.
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
