About The Position

This position is responsible for coordinating and facilitating the efficient distribution of product at the Sparta Plant along with the AHC distribution network. The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for following processes and communicating across various channels to ensure smooth operations and the timely movement of product.

Requirements

High School diploma or minimum 2 years of experience in Logistics or warehousing.
Knowledge of logistics processes and best practices.
Above average communication and analytical skills are essential.
Strong ability in using MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular)
Above average organizational and time management skills.
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
Previous experience with JDE and/or ability to learn new software quickly

Responsibilities

Run orders daily and make sure lead times are monitored to ensure on time delivery.
Oversee movement of inventory, ensuring backorders are addressed in a timely manner.
Receive and respond to internal/external customer correspondence and requests.
Participate in interplant movement, warehousing, and inventory management of product.
Participate in continuous improvement efforts
Organize day to day logistics activities both proactively and reactively.
Timely completion of Safety related items to include Trainings and Safety Observations.
Other duties as assigned by management. Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs.
