Requirements

Experience in data analysis work
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel (Pivot Tables, lookups)
Ability to work both individually and in a team environment

Nice To Haves

Experience purchasing packaging and/or warehouse supplies is an asset
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

Purchase distribution packaging and general warehouse supplies
Create and manage purchase orders, confirm pricing/lead times, and coordinate deliveries to meet operational needs
Maintain supply inventory levels for critical materials; monitor usage trends, set reorder points, resolve shortages, and support cycle counts as needed
Analyze freight spent across both Parcel and LTL/FTL on a regular cadence (e.g., weekly/monthly)
Identify cost drivers (mode, accessorial, zone, weight/dim, carrier performance) and provide insights and recommendations to management
Audit freight invoices and related charges
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce freight spend and waste (e.g., packaging optimization, consolidation, routing guide adherence, carrier selection, process standardization)
