Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is desirable.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Must be able to crawl, kneel, squat, and climb.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, unassisted.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

  • Shipment Coordination: Organize and monitor shipments of products to ensure they arrive on time and in good condition.
  • Inventory Management: Keep track of inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock counts, and report discrepancies or shortages.
  • Transportation Management: Coordinate with transportation providers and negotiate rates and schedules for efficient delivery.
  • Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing lists, and customs paperwork.
  • Order Fulfillment: Ensure that all customer orders are processed, packed, and shipped according to schedule.
  • Supply Chain Coordination: Collaborate with other departments (e.g., procurement, warehouse, sales) to ensure smooth operations and alignment with customer needs.
  • Problem-Solving: Handle logistics issues or delays and communicate with relevant stakeholders to resolve problems promptly.
  • Vendor Management: Communicate with third-party logistics providers, shipping companies, and other partners to ensure service levels and costs are optimized.
  • Compliance: Ensure all logistics operations comply with relevant legal, regulatory, and safety standards.
  • Reporting: Track and report on the efficiency of the logistics operations, making recommendations for improvement as necessary.
