About The Position

The GVA Co-ordinator is responsible for coordinating and supporting the daily execution of value-added services within the warehouse operation. This role ensures customer-specific work is completed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with established service, quality, safety, and inventory control standards. The successful candidate will play a key role in organizing workflow, supporting staff execution, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring all value-added activities are completed on time and to specification. This position requires strong attention to detail, sound organizational skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or value-added services environment preferred.
  • Previous experience coordinating workflow, assigning tasks, or supporting frontline operations is considered an asset.
  • Experience working with customer-specific instructions, packaging specifications, labelling requirements, or rework activities is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of warehouse systems, inventory processes, and Microsoft Office applications is an asset.
  • Forklift certification, or willingness to obtain certification, may be required depending on operational needs.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with frontline staff.
  • Sound problem-solving skills and ability to identify and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Working knowledge of warehouse processes, inventory controls, and operational workflow.
  • Demonstrated sense of ownership, accountability, and reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate day-to-day GVA activities, including rework, relabelling, kitting, repacking, ticketing, inspection, bundling, sorting, light assembly, and other customer-specific services.
  • Review and prioritize workload based on customer requirements, operational deadlines, and shipment schedules.
  • Ensure all required materials, documentation, work instructions, and inventory are available before work begins.
  • Monitor workflow and job status to ensure timely completion of all assigned tasks.
  • Communicate clearly with operations, inventory, customer service, and leadership regarding priorities, delays, and completion status.
  • Verify work is completed in accordance with customer instructions, standard operating procedures, and internal quality expectations.
  • Identify and escalate discrepancies, shortages, damages, quality issues, or process failures in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate records related to work orders, inventory usage, completed tasks, damages, and exceptions.
  • Support inventory accuracy by ensuring product movement and material usage are properly recorded in the appropriate systems.
  • Assist in training and guiding team members on work instructions, customer requirements, and departmental expectations.
  • Promote a safe, clean, and organized work environment within the GVA area.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving productivity, reducing errors, and strengthening process discipline.
