About The Position

The Public is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join our Logistics Team on a seasonal basis! The Public’s Production Logistics Team handles various items to keep all production departments moving and help streamline their workflow. This includes managing trucks, genies, radios, storage, life safety equipment, and critical department resources. The Delacorte Logistics Coordinator works full-time at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park and reports to the Production Logistics Manager. Requirements

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Have a basic understanding of fall protection systems and working at height.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at heights up to 70 ft.
  • Ability to move and complete tasks on your feet for an entire work shift.
  • Mindfulness for safety and attention to communication, ensuring that information is passed on to others who should be kept informed.
  • OSHA 30 Construction certification.
  • Punctuality and reliability are a must!

Responsibilities

  • Catalog and coordinate the use of shared production resources at the site within the production department as well as the larger Public.
  • Maintain, upkeep, repair and clean resources at the site.
  • Coordinate production storage space with the Operations team and ensure teams can access what they need.
  • Serve as Rescue Climber for Production Teams when working at height inside the theater.
  • Ensure teams use proper signage when working at height.
  • Understand the safety procedures for the various emergency action plans.
  • Inspect and organize life safety equipment for all departments onsite.
  • Assist with inspections of Self Retracting Devices(SRD) and Anchor Straps on Climbing structures.
  • Stock relief stations throughout the site with necessary supplies, including Gatorade, ponchos, sunscreen, etc.
  • Brew coffee and ensure the break space stays stocked and clean of items at the end of each day.
  • Support teams with ordering lunch from a pre-organized location.
  • Work with Operations to ensure donor dinners and galas are successful and communicate impacts to the Production Departments onsite.
  • Communicate space updates and needed supplies to the Logistics Manager.
  • Assist with other logistic responsibilities, including, but not limited to, genies, radios, tape.
  • Help manage the incoming flow and organization of deliveries for the Public's internal system.
  • Other duties as assigned.
