About The Position

Our Transportation & Logistics client has a REMOTE Logistics Billing Coordinator opening on their team! This role will entail creating invoices, consistently working on billing tasks, reconciling billing discrepancies, assisting with toll violations, as well as be a floater to help the other billers with tasks as needed. This company has over 500 locations and is the largest intermodal equipment provider in the industry. Location: Must be able to train on a HYBRID schedule for 3 months After training, its long-term REMOTE! Must live within 1 hour of Charlotte, NC (Arrowwood Rd - SW Charlotte) Must be able to occasionally go onsite for meetings or extra training/coaching if needed Opportunity: Contract (to Possible Hire) Compensation: Starting Pay: $23/hr Salary Upon Converting Permanent: $50,000 - $53,000 (If/when it converts permanent) Schedule: Mon through Fri, 8am-5pm, may be able to do 9am-6pm if the shift is available

Responsibilities

Compile backup and create cover sheets for invoicing on 3rd party damages to equipment.
Evaluate vendor invoices and photos for damages versus wear and tear as per company policies and AAR rules (Association of American Railroads).
Understand customer billing relationships in order to invoice correct customer.
Calculate invoice totals as per amounts allowed under customer contracts or company policies.
Research equipment activity in the tracking system to verify location of equipment to ensure invoicing to responsible 3rd party.
Review billing packages created by Field staff for accuracy.
Assist M&R Billing Specialists in resolving customer issues/disputes.
Communicate with Field staff regarding any issues for resolution.
