About The Position

Yamaha is seeking a Logistics Analyst II to join our Kennesaw, GA location to support and optimize our domestic transportation network. This role monitors transportation performance, analyzes cost and operational data, and delivers insights that drive efficiency, cost control, and strategic decision‑making across the supply chain. The Analyst partners closely with transportation leadership to evaluate carrier performance, identify trends and discrepancies, and recommend best practices. This position plays a key role in freight payment accuracy, KPI reporting, and cross‑functional continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain operations, with demonstrated experience in data analysis and carrier performance management.
  • Hands-on experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and SAP or similar ERP platforms; advanced TMS knowledge is a strong plus.
  • Auditing or financial reconciliation experience preferred, particularly within freight payment or invoice accuracy processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and especially Excel; advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis) are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze transportation data to identify cost drivers, performance gaps, and improvement opportunities
  • Monitor transportation spend and support cost‑reduction initiatives, including route optimization and carrier utilization
  • Prepare and present carrier performance KPIs, billing discrepancies, freight claims, and service metrics
  • Manage the weekly freight payment process, including invoice auditing and reconciliation
  • Support logistics projects and cross‑functional initiatives with data analysis and project tracking
  • Utilize TMS and SAP to generate reports, maintain carrier contracts, and ensure data accuracy
  • Contribute to tactical improvements and long-term transportation and network strategy
