About The Position

Noblis MSD’s mission is to support the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) and NavalSurface Warfare Center (NSWCPD) in their missions to enable research, development, test andevaluation, acquisition, engineering, systems integration, in-service and fleet engineering withcybersecurity, comprehensive logistics, and life-cycle savings. This role with be focused onequipment validation on Naval ships and carriers as part of the logistics process. This position willbe based out of San Diego,CA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of hands-on experience working with U.S. Navy shipboard systems and equipment OR in lieu of a Bachelor's degree will consider an Associate's degree & 6 years of experience OR High School & 9 years of experience.
  • Working experience with U.S. Navy Shipboard systems and equipment.
  • Experience planning and scheduling shipboard work activities, including material tracking andcoordination with shipyard or field activities.
  • U.S. Citizen with an active Secret Clearance (or ability to obtain an interim clearance beforestarting)
  • Physical requirements: Position will require being able to climb ladders on carriers

Nice To Haves

  • Active Secret clearance preferred.
  • NAVSEA Ship Alteration Installation Team (AIT) Familiarization.
  • Use of shipboard test equipment and tools.
  • Access to Assist, Cage, CDMD-OA, DeckPlate, FedMall, MBPS, One Touch, Priority MaterialOffice, Surface Ship Support Center (SSSC), WebFlis.
  • Experience in identifying material and logistics requirements for ship alteration and repair.

Responsibilities

  • Performing on-site support during ship alterations, overhauls, and repair evolutions related toHM&E systems.
  • Utilizing established documents in support of acquiring material that has a Long Lead Time,obsolete, and or is out of stock. Conduct focused research supporting part identification andits alternative/equivalent/replacement.
  • Interpreting information from databases/sources: Assist, Cage, Configuration, Cortel Library(drawings and Technical Manuals) FedMall, LogiQuest, Military Specifications, NAVSUP, OneTouch Support, PRIME, Surface Ship Support Center (SSSC), TDMIS, WebFlis, etc.
  • Crosschecking collected information, recorded errors, and proposed to appropriate personnelto update the information.
  • Suggesting changes to a Technical Manual via the submission of a Technical ManualDeficiency Evaluation Report, TMDER.
  • Making recommendations in the procurement, repair, and or replacement of Items (actuators,bearings, capstans, controllers, lighting, motors, pumps, valves, windows, etc.) during aship’s scheduled and unscheduled maintenance availability.
  • Collaborating with engineers, logisticians, and program leads to support technical executionof field work in accordance with Navy maintenance and modernization protocols by providingoptions to the Maintenance Teams, Manufacturers, Planning Yard, Repair Shops, SurfaceFleet, Suppliers, SURFLANT, Vendors, etc. iso Fleet Operations.
  • Adhering to Navy safety, security, and configuration management standards during allshipboard and facility-based work activities.
