The Logistics Administrator will play a crucial role in streamlining our supply chain and ensuring the efficient movement of goods from origin to destination. This Logistics Administrator works closely with the distribution center team by coordinating shipments, potentially managing the inventory cycle counting program and assisting with HR and team building initiatives. Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm, with overtime as needed

Requirements

  • Associates degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in logistics coordination and/or administration role.
  • Familiarity with logistics software and systems. SAP (Systems Applications and Products) and OTM (Oracle Transportation Management)
  • Strong understanding of international shipping regulations and customs procedures.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Shipments: Arrange transportation for incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Collaborate with carriers and freight forwarders to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
  • Use OTM to create and book truckload and LTL shipments.
  • Coordinate International shipments for the Baraboo DC.
  • Work with Freight Forwarders and Shippers for International Loads.
  • Back up Baraboo Supervisor in OTM.
  • Review monthly reports and audit data.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Prepare and file daily shipment BOL’s and customs documentation in compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Ensure all necessary permits and licenses are obtained for international shipments. This includes HazMat Certification for ground and vessel.
  • Stay up to date with industry regulations and proactively address any compliance issues.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction.
  • Implement improvements to enhance overall logistics efficiency.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies or tools to enhance logistics operations.
