The CDL Driver is responsible for the movement and spotting of containers to facilitate the needs of the warehouse in unloading and loading material for shipment or storage. Responsible for timely movements and thorough knowledge of on-hand inventory and positioning. An up to date and current Class A CDL Driver's license is required. Responsible for BASC/ CTPAT and Security compliance. What Will You Do? Operate Yard Truck in a safe manner during numerous roll-on/roll-off procedures daily involving loaded and empty containers. Drive and operate vehicle under 15 mph in and around the facility and staging area. Seal trailers after each load is completed. Must follow and comply with CTPAT and BASC requirements. Verifies all CDL daily documentation and schedules are accurate and in complies with DOT regulations. Responsible for the house keeping, processing orders, unloading and loading trailers as needed. Receives instructions from the supervisors when ensuing shift schedules and when required to move the containers to yard parking areas. Complies with all state and federal requirements as a CDL driver. Provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers. Maintains telephone or radio contact with supervisor, personnel and security to receive delivery instructions. Performs local driving of all types of trailer equipment as required. Monitors and ensures safety shocks are in place during the loading process. Follow shock safety procedures at all times. Prepares reports for maintenance and repairs. Maintains truck log according to state and federal regulations. Maintains trailer status logs. Loads and unloads truck as required using proper equipment. Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water. Notify supervisor on regular or emergency repair issues. Complies with all Company & EH&S policies and procedures. Must comply with all training requirements for CDL drivers. Ability and availability to work irregular or extended hours including nights, weekends and holidays as needed by the operations. Inventory control experience, to include Material handler responsibilities, picking and cycle counting. May be assigned to participate in the First Response Team for Safety and Environmental emergencies as well as to be responsible for the handling of Hazardous waste. Appropriate training will be provided as needed. Additional duties may be assigned. This position includes warehouse responsibilities. What Do You Need?
