About The Position

Pratt & Whitney Amercon is seeking to hire a Logistics 1 Shipping/Receiving I. This is a highly collaborative role where the individual will partner with production control, warehouse operations, receiving, shipping, planning, and other operational organizations. The position works 2nd Shift (2pm to 10pm, Monday – Friday) onsite at the Middletown PA location. Requirements

  • HS Diploma
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
  • Minimum 1-year of experience in warehousing and/or logistics related activities such as operation of warehouse material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, box trucks and/or hoists, etc.)

Nice To Haves

  • Able to work with MS Windows
  • Able to perform basic Math calculations
  • Knowledge of SAP systems
  • Using RF Scanner

Responsibilities

  • Receive, check, store, kit, issue, and ship a variety of items and maintain inventory control
  • Expedite program and facility materials
  • Use assistance and/or powered mechanical means (not to include forklifts, box trucks or high bay vehicles) to load, unload, store, and deliver a variety of incoming and outgoing material
  • Prepare and package small and large parts using proper procedures and materials
  • Proficiently use computer hardware/software
  • Oversee parts preparation, material handling, measuring, and packaging equipment
  • Record calibration logs of tools and equipment
  • Use assorted measuring and weight recording devices
  • Keep equipment and surrounding areas neat and clean
  • Perform related duties as required within the scope of this job function
  • Lift boxes and other equipment up to 50 lbs
  • Work under moderate supervision and complete additional tasks as assigned
  • Work overtime as needed
  • Transport airfoils in trays throughout the facility
  • Load and unload parts in trays
  • Wash and dry airfoils per requirements to avoid FOD
  • Carry out tasks not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this position in support of department objectives and to develop one's skills
