The Logistician 2 will prepare inventory for shipping, loading on pallets, attaching green tags, creating DD Form 1149 documentation, and shrink-wrapping of pallets in accordance with agency Cargo Shipping Services and Agency Stock System. They will track shipments worldwide and interface with sites to establish Arrival on Site (AOS) notification. A working knowledge of laboratory environments with electrical systems, internal and external telephone communications, UPS, ventilation, safety, delivery of equipment, and laboratory management and utilization is required. Due to federal contract requirements, United States Citizenship and position appropriate security clearance is required (e.g. Active TS/SCI security clearance with customer appropriate polygraph).

Requirements

  • TS/SCI with Agency Appropriate Polygraph
  • Eight (8) years of experience working as a Logistician on contracts of similar scope, complexity, and size
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college
  • United States Citizenship
  • Position appropriate security clearance
  • Working knowledge of laboratory environments with electrical systems, internal and external telephone communications, UPS, ventilation, safety, delivery of equipment, and laboratory management and utilization

Responsibilities

  • Prepare inventory for shipping, loading on pallets, attaching green tags, creating DD Form 1149 documentation, and shrink-wrapping of pallets in accordance with agency Cargo Shipping Services and Agency Stock System
  • Track shipments worldwide and interface with sites to establish Arrival on Site (AOS) notification
  • Manages property
  • Assists system developers and integrators during shipments of systems and system upgrades
  • Completes monthly inventory reports per government guidelines
  • Manages inventory control process to account for property received, shipped, excessed, moved or transferred
  • Maintains the Defense Property Accountability System by providing entries for incoming property (Line Item Receiving Report), transferred property and excessed property
  • Develops material handling processes for shipping, receiving, storage and disposition of property
  • Coordinates all aspects of shipments resulting from systems integration and system upgrade activities
  • Performs property inventory and Contractor Acquired Property in accordance with Contractor Data Requirements List (CDRL) DD 1423
  • Establishes program level Defense Property Accountability System(s) for incoming property (Line Item Receiving Report), transferred property and excessed property
  • Coordinates and performs all property accountability functions and property management functions in accordance with government guidance and industry best practices
  • Documents Contractor Acquired Property in accordance with CDRL DD 1423
