PRIMARY PURPOSE: Help provide a better physical learning environment that is safe and attractive for all students and staff in the district. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: To cut keys as indicated on work orders and assigned by structural foreman Set up and maintain master key systems Install locks and locking devices, repair locks, and perform any other locksmith functions as assigned Follow security instructions and guidelines regarding safeguarding keys, picks, and other security-sensitive equipment, materials, and supplies Work with and assist the carpenter assigned to glass replacement when necessary Record man hours and material costs on work performed and keep structural foreman informed of job costs Lift and carry 61 or more pounds without assistance for 0 - 30% of time on the job Practice high standards of safety in performance of all duties Willing to perform any other duties assigned by the structural foreman SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None EQUIPMENT USED: Large sections of wood, key cutting machine, wood/metal doors, ramps WORKING CONDITIONS: Physical Demands: Occasional heavy lifting and carrying (0-30% of time), frequent bending and stooping, continuous driving vehicle, and working with machinery, occasional climbing ladders, stairs, ramps, scaffolds, continuous walking and standing, continuous use of fingers Environment: Works inside and outside; exposed to temperature extremes; exposed to dust, solvents, grease and oils; works around machinery with moving parts; works around moving objects/vehicles; works on ladders and scaffolds EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board Policy on Evaluations of At-Will employees.
