About The Position

The lock desk technician is responsible for assisting the lock desk team in managing the locked pipeline and its associated tasks.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
  • Solid understanding of mortgage products, pricing, and underwriting guidelines
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
  • Proficient in relevant software and technology tool, including loan origination systems, pricing engines and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to pass a background check

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the mortgage industry and Secondary Marketing preferred

Responsibilities

  • Mastery all software pertinent to job description (Byte LOS, Optimal Blue, MS Excel)
  • Process all new locks and manage locked pipeline
  • Assist with the pricing and selling of locked loans
  • Work closely with loan officers, processors, underwriters and other team members to ensure timely processing and locking of loans
  • Communicate with investors and loan officers to resolve issues related to pricing and locking of loans
  • Maintain and update pricing and lock policies and procedures
  • Provide training and support to loan officers and other staff members on lock desk operations
  • Maintain accurate records of all pricing and lock transactions
