University of Pittsburgh Physicians is hiring a full-time Location Supervisor for the UPMC MedCall team. This position will primarily work the afternoon shift but may need to be available during other shifts for meetings or staff engagement responsibilities. This position will be hybrid after successful completion of training and orientation. This position entails supervising direct reports and primarily guiding the afternoon shift while also having overlapping responsibilities with the night staff. The individual selected will collaborate closely with the daylight supervisor to assist in the team oversight, departmental planning, development, and execution of projects. Additionally, they will oversee quality assurance and improvement reviews, participate in various meetings, on-call schedules, and possess the ability to coach, mentor, and evaluate staff performance. Purpose: Manage coordination and supervision of the scheduling, registration, coding, charge and cash posting processes as performed by practice plan staff. Obtain for more than one practice plan, depending on number of Patient Information Coordinators at each location. Direct interaction with physicians, personnel from other practice plans and hospitals, and staff supporting the billing, collections and customer service functions. May need to commute to multiple practice plan sites to perform various job responsibilities.
