Church processes and systems are vitally important for effective ministry. Well-designed, well-executed administration facilitates life-changing experiences and creates the environment for life-giving relationships. At the Montgomery County location, this key role both maintains and consistently aims to improve these processes and systems so that our church operates with high quality, efficiency, and consistency. Serving alongside the pastors, staff, and volunteers, the Location Administrator’s ability to achieve results in these areas sets the standard for church communications, ministry management, and congregational engagement. The following items describe some of the ways this individual will accomplish this task: 1. Church Communications 1. Deliver compelling, accurate, and helpful communications (such as weekly e-newsletter, social media, digital bulletin, leader emails, website updates) 2. Ensure that high quality graphics accompany our communications (slides, email graphics, presentations, etc.) whether direct creating or managing others who do 3. Help establish and maintain the cadence of clear communications with staff and leaders so they are well-prepared to offer efficient ministries and Sunday experiences 4. Set the tone for hospitality and helpfulness with regard to inquiries by web form, phone, voicemails, emails, or the physical front door 5. Serve as the primary liaison with MBC communications staff and contracted designers, communications teams, etc. 6. Recruit, train and supervise volunteers. Ensure volunteer assignments and end product support these responsibilities. 2. Ministry Management 1. Evaluate and improve administrative processes and systems to improve general efficiency and facilitate a clear and efficient flow of information 2. Assist the Director of Ministry Ops with location finances by managing budget, disbursement requests, invoices, and effective purchasing/ordering 3. Maintain the standard for high impact, timely results through clear meeting agendas, meeting recaps, calendar management, and/or project management 4. Provide proactive communication and logistical support to leaders in volunteer-driven ministries (for example: promotion, purchasing, printing, etc.) 5. Provide logistical support for key group meetings with pastoral staff (such as scheduling and communications, prep and ordering, notes and action items) 6. Assist in supporting location-wide events (such as prayer nights, picnics, leader trainings, and MBC-sponsored events as assigned by Director of Ministry Ops) 7. Recruit, train and supervise volunteers. Ensure volunteer assignments and end product support these responsibilities (such as event coordinators, POC’s, etc.) 3. Congregational Engagement 1. Coordinate and maintain key church processes for new visitors, growth steps, baptism, membership, volunteer onboarding, and church group involvement 2. Ensure all respondents to forms or registrations receive necessary information and timely, appropriate follow-through as they engage with staff and ministries 3. Create clear, data-driven reports that indicate the health and/or growth areas of our connection processes and engagement processes 4. Provide logistical support to the welcome & hospitality teams in alignment with pastoral leadership 5. Maintain hospitality and usefulness of key spaces within our church, such as the entry way, hallways, office area, green room, and volunteer room 6. Recruit, train and supervise volunteer. Ensure volunteer assignments and end product support these responsibilities. 4. General Expectations 1. Attend necessary staff and leadership meetings 2. Participate in mandatory churchwide events as assigned by Location Pastor (e.g. all-hands on events for location, all-hands on events for MBC global) 3. Participate in the overall life of the church as an active member.
