About The Position

This position is ideal for someone with a successful broadcast sales background who wants to put his/her skill set to work developing our sales teams, increasing new business accounts and growing revenue on ABC (WICS-TV), FOX (WRSP-TV), CW (WBUI-TV) and digital platforms. Ideal candidates will be aggressive, knowledgeable, customer experience focused and goal-oriented individuals.   Candidates should have a successful, proven history of driving revenue growth, specifically increasing new business revenue.  Strong decision making, organization, effective communication, and time management skills are a must.  Proven track record of leadership and successful experiences in a competitive television environment required.  Broadcast sales management experience preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferred, but not required.
  • Previous broadcast sales management experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of political rules and guidelines are preferred, but not required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Experience with WideOrbit Traffic and Media Sales a plus
  • Effective time management as well as oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent personal skills, a competitive drive, and ambitious nature
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with staff, clients, and general public
  • Vehicle required for outside sales meetings/calls
  • Experience in television or radio sales not required but a plus

Responsibilities

  • Proven revenue generator, specifically new business.
  • Proven ability to identify and acquire sales talent.
  • Proven ability to structure sales staff to maximize strengths and revenue.
  • Proven team leader with the ability to motivate, train, and deliver results.
  • Strong coaching skills.
  • Meets deadlines and has a sense of urgency.
  • Analytical ability to utilize market analysis, ratings research, and other information to enhance sales efforts.
  • Ability to accurately forecast and budget.
  • Ability to effectively price and maximize inventory.
  • In depth knowledge of traffic systems.
  • Knowledge of broadcast sales policies and ethics.
  • Knowledge of political rules and guidelines are preferred, but not required.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally.
  • Reliable, self-motivated, positive, high energy and driven individual.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capable of handling multiple tasks.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and other computer applications.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and good driving record.
