Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business Administration, Communications, or related field
  • 5-7 years experience in multi-location marketing, team leadership, community engagement, retail or experiential marketing

Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership and Development Lead, coach, and develop a team of Local Marketing Specialists. Provide ongoing feedback, training, and performance management to ensure high engagement, executional excellence, and development of future leaders. Foster a culture of collaboration, creativity, and accountability across the team, creating an environment where teammates feel empowered to take initiative and innovate. Celebrate wins—big and small—to build momentum and reinforce team morale. Recruit, hire and onboard Local Marketing Specialists to ensure a smooth launch of a new store or seamless transition of an existing store. This role requires regular travel to store locations to connect with team members, assess field performance, and identify opportunities for innovation and impact.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration Serve as a strategic connector between field teams, corporate stakeholders, and external partners, ensuring alignment, innovation, and operational excellence across all marketing touchpoints. Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement across the broader marketing team and cross-functional partners. Actively participate in weekly & monthly district leadership meetings and pod travel. Serve as a media-trained brand spokesperson for local press opportunities and brand-led storytelling, partner and vendor relationships, events, and programs.
  • Strategic Planning & Execution Lead the development and oversee the implementation of innovative local marketing strategies that align with cross-functional goals, elevate the HOS brand and its 4 pillars (Experience, Product, Community, Service), and drive traffic & athlete engagement. Monitor and analyze competitive activity to activate proactive and defensive strategies that expand market share and sustain brand leadership. Collaborate with GO marketing team to craft locally resonate strategies & tactics that drive traffic to the new store openings.
  • Community and Partner Engagement Oversee the development of community partnerships, sponsorships, and local activations. Guide teams in identifying high-impact opportunities and measuring ROI. Collaborate with Field Marketing team to deliver a best-in-class experience for our league partners at the HOS stores. Collaborate with the national partnerships team to activate locally, amplifying brand presence through tailored community experiences and grassroot efforts. Partner with the DICK’S Foundation to drive Sports Matter initiatives, creating a focus on the impact we’re making in youth sports.
  • Reporting & Analysis Leverage data analytics and athlete insights to evaluate campaign performance, identify trends, and inform future marketing strategies.
  • Budget & Resource Management Manage local marketing budgets across multiple locations. Ensure efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial guidelines.
