About The Position

We lead the industry in supporting customers across the design/build process through our highly trained field staff and a consultative approach. The Dealer Sales Representative position is field-based role focused on generating new business opportunities and expanding customer accounts in new territories. In this position, you will be responsible for creating and executing a strategic prospecting strategy to promote our business, cultivate strong relationships and execute the full cycle sales process. This position is based in the Wilmington market.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong negotiation and sales skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Proactive problem-solving abilities.
  • Prior experience in the food service equipment industry or sales is preferred.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field or Culinary Degree preferred
  • 2 years business-business sales experience
  • 2 years industry related experience
  • 5 years sales experience in foodservice/hospitality management and/or foodservice sales

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in the food service equipment industry or sales is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field or Culinary Degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new customers and business opportunities in the region.
  • Promote and sell food service equipment within the assigned geographical territory.
  • Maintain a comprehensive sales database to track customer information and sales activities.
  • Attend sales meetings as outlined by the Sales Manager.
  • Evaluate competition, report findings, and provide insights on pricing and programs.
  • Utilize software tools such as Auto Quotes, NetSuite, and Sales Force for sales operations.
  • Address product quality issues and field-related problems in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with local manufacturer representatives to enhance customer relations and negotiate equipment prices to optimize deals.
  • Foster and maintain positive customer service relationships with other departments, branches, vendors, and customers through professional resolution of service issues.
