Job Description Summary The Public Area Attendant is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of all public areas within the hotel, both interior and exterior. This position plays a key role in maintaining a welcoming and sanitary environment for guests and team members while supporting the overall housekeeping department. Job Description Clean and maintain all public areas, including lobbies, restrooms, hallways, elevators, stairwells, meeting spaces, and outdoor walkways. Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish surfaces as assigned. Empty trash receptacles and replace liners as needed. Maintain cleanliness of glass doors, windows, and mirrors. Replenish supplies such as paper products, towels, and amenities in public restrooms. Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or any areas in need of repair to the appropriate department. Assist with special cleaning projects as directed by the Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager. Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies in proper working condition. Ensure all assigned areas meet the hotel’s cleanliness and appearance standards at all times. Provide courteous and prompt service to guests, responding to inquiries or requests as needed.
