Average Day on the Job: The Loan Servicing Specialist supports the full lifecycle of consumer and real estate loan servicing. Key duties include processing title work for autos, RVs, and boats; completing electronic lien filings and releases; quoting and posting auto payoffs; and managing insurance claims for total loss vehicles. The role also handles real estate insurance, PMI, and tax payments; responds to escrow and insurance repair inquiries; conducts Quality Control audits; and processes payment reversals, adjustments, dealer drafts, letters of guarantee, and warranty cancellations. Additional responsibilities include managing credit disputes, coordinating with third party agencies, preparing reports, maintaining accurate records, distributing mail, performing general clerical tasks, supporting related departments, and assisting with remarketing activities. Strong attention to detail, the ability to multitask and excellent communication are essential to this role. Work From Home: This position works in-office in Corinth, Texas for the first 90 days of employment. After 90 days, there is the potential to work from home on Mondays and Fridays. You will still work in-office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent. Additional college coursework in business or finance preferred.
- Understanding of the foundation of determining credit worthiness.
- Knowledge of Credit Union loan policies, products, procedures, processing, and Underwriting guidelines.
- Familiarity with title reports, insurance, and appraisals.
- One to two years of related loan servicing experience.
- Attention to detail.
- The ability to multitask.
- Excellent communication skills and willingness to assist others.
- Professional appearance, dress, and attitude.
- Exceptional Member Service skills.
- Good analytical and financial skills.
- Ability to operate related computer applications and business equipment.
- Good typing skills.
Nice To Haves
- Real Estate background helpful.
- Abilities generally acquired on the job in 12 months. Includes formal and on-the-job training.
- Bilingual a plus.
