About The Position

Performs assigned daily duties in the Loan Operations Department as well as special projects. As a supervisor, assists department employees with process and procedure questions. Works closely with Loan Operations Director to evaluate processes/procedures and job rotation in the department. Manages, coaches, and provides leadership to the Loan Operations department with an emphasis on innovation and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership, supervision, and direction to Loan Operations personnel.
  • Oversee daily Loan Operations activities, including but not limited to: Lender Pay Balancing, E-OSCAR credit disputes and monthly reporting, End-of-month processing and reporting, File updates and maintenance, Risk code updates, Letter of credit balancing, Review and resolution of CIP exceptions, Coupon book and tuition payment verification, General loan maintenance functions
  • Ensures loan collateral is adequately insured by verifying insurance requirements are met in a timely manner.
  • Ensure collateral liens are properly and timely perfected or reinscribed to maintain the Bank’s required lien position.
  • Verifies loan files are accurately scanned, indexed, and maintained in accordance with Bank standards.
  • Demonstrates the ability to perform all departmental duties and serves as a backup when necessary
  • Works closely with the Loan Processing Manager to ensure loans are set up accurately and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with the Loan Operations Director to resolve operational issues, assess risk, and implement process improvements while promoting a strong team environment.
  • Ensure compliance with the Bank’s Loan Policy and applicable regulations.
  • Provides training, guidance, and ongoing development opportunities to ensure staff have the tools and resources necessary to perform effectively.
  • Conducts employee performance evaluations in accordance with Bank policies
  • Identifies and recommends process improvements to increase operational efficiency and effectiveness
  • Participates in special projects and assists other departments as needed.
  • Cross sells Bank products and services to meet customer needs.
  • Delivers excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.
