Loan Operations Assistant
About The Position
The Loan Operations Assistant position performs a variety of duties essential to day-to-day bank operations. This role will be trained to handle a variety of key areas, including booking loans for the Institution, assisting the branches with posting transactions and managing the Escrow Portfolio for the Institution. This role is key to ensuring that the bank runs smoothly. This role is best suited for those who enjoy a variety of tasks in their day and is ideal for detail orientated individuals wishing to grow their loan skillset. The preferred location for this position is Beresford, SD, and Deming, NM. Internal applicants may be considered in other branches as long as there is available space to house this role.
Requirements
- Exposure to basic principles of banking
- Strong communication and customer service skills required.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail oriented
- Self-starter with good time management skills
Responsibilities
- Assists loan admins and lenders with day-to-day transactions, such as loan payments, loan advances, and answering questions regarding their status of loans.
- Communicates with branch personnel to correctly resolve transaction discrepancies.
- Handles transaction and exception processing as appropriate for non-posts, payments, advances, ACH's, and Mobile Transactions.
- Assists with duties related to Loan Processing, including sending wires.
- Helps ensure policies under areas of responsibility are followed and exceptions properly documented.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
