About The Position

The Loan Officer Associate assists a designated Loan Officer(s) in originating and processing loans. This role involves reviewing initial loan applications, requesting and following up on required documents, calculating income to validate data, running AUS and reviewing findings, preparing and sending prequalification letters, and preparing the initial disclosure package. The associate is also responsible for reviewing and preparing loan documents for submission to Processing. Additionally, the role includes managing the Loan Officer(s) calendar, serving as the primary point of contact for phone calls, managing the CRM for warm leads and closed loans, and performing pipeline management, including scheduled reviews, daily tracking, and weekly status calls to customers. The position requires utilization of designated Sales tools and reporting methods.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of mortgage experience, including all areas of the loan process, as well as a thorough knowledge of FHA, Conventional, VA and USDA product financing.
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • NMLS License required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a diversity of audiences.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability and conflict resolution skills.
  • Must have attention to detail and customer service focus.
  • Ability to adhere to established processes and checklists.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fluid and rapidly changing environment.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with strict time requirements.
  • Proficient with MS Office, with a knowledge of industry automation and software.
  • High level of integrity, ethics, discretion and professionalism in handling confidential and sensitive information.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree is a plus
  • Sales aptitude is a plus.
