Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Bilingual Loan Officer Assistant fluent in Spanish and English to assist borrowers in their home buying or refinance journey. You'll work on site at our Lawrence Township, NJ office supporting a licensed Loan Officer.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in the mortgage industry as Loan Officer Assistant, Loan Processor, Loan Officer, etc.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish
  • Working knowledge of Encompass preferred
  • Excellent communication skills including phone, personal contact and written
  • Ability to problem solve and exercise a high degree of initiative
  • Reliability and consistently positive attitude
  • Must possess good judgement, be able to accept responsibility and handle confidential information

Responsibilities

  • Front- end support for Loan Officer, speak with clients regarding goals, needs, and qualifications; after qualifying conversation, collaborate alongside Loan Officer for next steps in the financing process
  • Assist clients through closing by answering basic questions, and providing customer service to all parties throughout the transaction
  • Advise client of any additional, updated or missing documents needed to proceed
  • Prepare the loan for Loan Processor to take over
  • Order appraisals and FHA Case numbers
  • Develop rapport and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external clients
  • Other duties or special projects as assigned
