About The Position

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and member-minded Loan Funding Specialist to join our Lending team. In this vital role, you’ll ensure smooth loan closings, maintain documentation integrity, and help members take the next step toward financial wellness.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1–3 years of experience in consumer lending, loan funding, or member services
  • Familiarity with consumer loan documentation and regulatory compliance (e.g., Reg Z, BSA, AML)
  • Experience with loan origination platforms and Microsoft Word/Excel
  • Previous experience in a credit union or financial institution
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and professionalism in all channels

Nice To Haves

  • Symitar, Sync1, or Lend Pro platform experience
  • Familiarity with vehicle titling, collateral handling, and POA documentation
  • Passion for delivering smooth, timely, and compliant lending experiences

Responsibilities

  • Collect and review loan stipulations to ensure all approval conditions are met
  • Collaborate with loan officers, members, and vendors to complete funding efficiently and accurately
  • Perform pre- and post-closing quality control reviews to verify data, disclosures, and compliance
  • Confirm lien registration and titling requirements for vehicles, boats, and other collateralized loans
  • Identify and resolve funding errors or documentation discrepancies, including red flags for potential fraud
  • Support service-level commitments for stipulation and funding turnaround
  • Maintain accurate records using document imaging, core systems, and loan origination platforms
  • Create and update SOPs and job aids to support continuous improvement
  • Deliver excellent service with professionalism, empathy, and respect in every interaction
