About The Position

Credit9 is growing and seeking a motivated, career-driven Loan Consultant to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with sales, lending, or customer service experience who want to maximize their earning potential through performance-based incentives. As a Loan Consultant, you will assist consumers through the loan application, submission, and funding processes ensuring they receive the best loan options for their financial situation. You will engage with a high volume of leads, assess creditworthiness, and guide borrowers through the lending process with expert financial solutions. This role offers unlimited earning potential through a competitive bonus incentive plan based on funded units.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience with consumer lending, credit lending, or sales.
  • 2+ years of consumer direct or wholesale lending experience.
  • Previous sales experience in a high-volume call center is a plus.
  • Ability to problem-solve and propose alternate loan terms.
  • Ability to concisely communicate directly with loan applicants and team members.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced and competitive environment.
  • Ability to solve problems while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Ability to retain information and exercise sound judgment consistently.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and CRM systems.
  • Passionate about helping customers achieve their financial goals.
  • Strong organization, time management, and multitasking skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to apply policies, procedures, and underwriting guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Field inbound calls from prospective borrowers seeking a debt consolidation loan.
  • Prescreen loan applicants for creditworthiness and present loan products to meet their unique financial situation and requirements.
  • Present loan options tailored to the client’s financial needs and requirements.
  • Manage a large volume of calls and emails from prospective borrowers.
  • Become a subject matter expert in unsecured lending programs, rates, and guidelines.
  • Review credit liabilities and income to determine an accurate debt-to-income ratio.
  • Obtain required loan documentation in accordance with Underwriting guidelines.
  • Review income, assets, and credit documentation for accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Answer customer questions and resolve challenges during the loan application and funding processes.
  • Request additional documentation when needed to support a loan decision.
  • Effectively communicate loan decisions and next steps to customers.
  • Ability to meet sales goals.
