Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read, understand and apply operating procedures
- Able to use computers for job functions and training
- Hold a valid driver’s license
Nice To Haves
- Experience in manufacturing plant operations is a plus
- Troubleshooting and analytical ability
Responsibilities
- Monitoring/operating equipment and associated systems within standard operating conditions and limits
- Operating and monitoring process equipment which can include; starting and stopping pumps, compressors and engines, opening and closing of valves ranging in dimensions of ¼” to 12”, and adjusting pneumatic and electrical controls
- Operating computerized control systems
- Operating mobile equipment; forklift, front end loader and track mobile
- Recording and entering data readings from plant equipment and process
- Responds to and appropriately addresses process upsets
- Identify possible or current operating problems and recommend action to resolve any deficiencies in rate, quality or mechanical operation
- Identify actual or potential maintenance problems and take appropriate action
- Responsible for keeping area clean and clutter free
- Safety of employees and contractors
- Work a rotating 12-hour shift with overtime as needed (including nights, weekends, and holidays)
- This position will require climbing stairs or ladders, entering confined spaces, or lifting up to 50 pounds as needed to complete tasks
