Under limited supervision, the Loader works independently and uses advanced skills and independent judgment to plan and build external trailer loads and/or stacks for weld by calculating the best product fit and operating forklift, side-loader, combi-lift or other mobile equipment such as overhead crane and determine applicable lifting device based upon product. The Loader also uses a yard spotter truck to position loaded or empty trailers in yard, loading bays, and staging areas. Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent, or attain ACT WorkKeys Assessment at certified job profile skill level
  • 1 year of related experience and/or training

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of experience operating mobile equipment to load flatbed trailers for over-the-road transportation
  • 3+ years of experience in overhead crane operation
  • Mobile equipment certification and/or CDL license

Responsibilities

  • Plan and build loads of materials and products onto flatbed trailers to ensure safe over-the-road transportation
  • Plan and build loads of materials and products within the weld bays to ensure safe stacking and loading of material
  • Position flatbed trailers for loading of materials and products in yard, loading bays and staging areas and/or; Position material in an efficient order for downstream processes
  • Actively participates in continuous improvement and corrective action activities
  • Complete all necessary paperwork and transactions, including scanning requirements
  • Perform housekeeping, 5-S, and other duties as assigned
