About The Position

The Loader Operator is responsible operating the front end loader to move material to the correct location for proper sorting.

Requirements

  • The loader operator must have a clear understanding of the proper procedures for operating the loader.
  • Knowledge of the flow of work and ability to anticipate tasks that need to occur when processing materials.
  • Prior experience as a loader operator is required.
  • The ability to operate the skid steers and forklifts used at facility
  • Ability to follow directions and work as a team or independently
  • Physically able to push or pull independently (unassisted) 50 pounds between
  • Physically able to lift independently (unassisted) 50 pounds
  • Physically able to bend at the waist and knees

Responsibilities

  • Operating the front end loader with a high degree of skill.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Observe and report any potential malfunctions of the loader.
  • Assist with the proper care and basic maintenance of the loader.
  • Maintain an understanding of the recyclable commodities sorted and baled at the facility
  • Maintain constant awareness of the tipping floor and direct truck traffic during the dumping and loading process.
  • Observe and report any unsafe activities or circumstances at the facility
  • Assist with the proper care and maintenance of the baler.
  • Employees in this job classification must attend and participate in corporation sponsored training courses as assigned.
  • Employees in this job classification are responsible for keeping up to date on current technology, as job appropriate, being used by Waste Pro USA.
  • Any additional job duties that may be assigned by the Supervisor.
  • Follow all safety procedures established at the facility
