About The Position

Position Summary: Responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of fueling equipment, conducting inspections on Company vehicles, maintaining a clean work environment, and supporting daily Warehouse operations. What You’ll Do: Operate fueling equipment in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all safety regulations and procedures Perform routine maintenance on fueling equipment, including cleaning and inspecting for any potential issues Report obvious vehicular mechanical/safety problems bis DVIR applications Check fluid levels daily; accurately measure and record fuel levels, ensuring proper documentation Check tires inflation level on all vehicles and inflates to proper level as required Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the fueling area, storage tanks, equipment, and warehouse Clean exteriors of tractors and trailers as assigned; verify cabs and trailers are clean of trash and ready for Warehouse loading Operate commercial 18-wheelers following proper vehicle flow for staging of trucks to ensure efficient Warehouse loading Assist with daily loading and unloading of product for delivery routes Utilize equipment such as electric pallet jacks, single-wide forklifts, and floor scrubber Follow down-stacking and consolidation practices in line with Company product Code Date Policies and material handling procedures Adheres to strict safe working practices, Company policies, rules, regulations, corrects obvious hazards immediately or reports to supervisor if not immediately correctable Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Must be a minimum of 18 years old
  • High school diploma, GED, or international equivalent required
  • 1 – 3 years of general work experience preferred
  • Military experience equivalency may substitute for some requirements
  • In person travel within the service territories of Silver Eagle required
  • A valid Texas Driver’s License and clean driving record
  • Able to obtain and maintain Class A-CDL, and medical card
  • Able to handle alcohol, and work within T.A.B.C Guidelines
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Must have a smart phone with a camera and data capability
  • Talk, hear, and see (including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus)
  • Continuous standing and walking, up to 8 hours at a time
  • Ability to enter and exit the driver's compartment of the truck and/or behind cab using normally available footholds and handholds
  • Frequent climbing, pushing, pulling and maneuvering dolly, hand truck, bay roll up doors, straps, curb ramps, truck doors, boxes, cases, kegs, truck gear shift
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25lbs, frequently lift and/or move up to 50lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs
  • Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel and crawl to inspect and or wash vehicles
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
  • Ability to hear voice commands in areas with a high level of background noise
  • Ability to demonstrate or learn to safely handle large trucks in a critically safe and precise manner within very constrained and compact areas
  • Must be able to shift a manual transmission vehicle
  • Ability to operate a two or four-wheel dolly
  • Must be able to safely operate a pallet jack

Responsibilities

  • Clean exteriors of tractors and trailers as assigned; verify cabs and trailers are clean of trash and ready for Warehouse loading
  • Operate commercial 18-wheelers following proper vehicle flow for staging of trucks to ensure efficient Warehouse loading
  • Assist with daily loading and unloading of product for delivery routes
  • Utilize equipment such as electric pallet jacks, single-wide forklifts, and floor scrubber
  • Follow down-stacking and consolidation practices in line with Company product Code Date Policies and material handling procedures
  • Adheres to strict safe working practices, Company policies, rules, regulations, corrects obvious hazards immediately or reports to supervisor if not immediately correctable
  • Other duties as assigned
