The Load Controller is responsible for managing and overseeing the loading and unloading of cargo in accordance with safety regulations and operational standards. This role ensures that cargo is properly loaded, balanced, and secured to optimize space and maintain safety during transit. Load planning, building full loads as well as multi stop loads with routing optimization using e2open. Build transfer loads from the plant to the freezer using e2open. Build transfer loads from the freezer to the plant using e2open. Communicate with the sales office requesting order date changes, communicate product shortages, product date issues and load weight adjustment needs. Notify sales when starting to load trailers if additional weight is needed to fill the load. Create a daily listing of any loads needing additional weight using the shared excel truck list. Determine daily loading order of trailers based on distance of travel, product availability, and customer needs. Create pick lists and placards for order pickers and loaders. Communicate customer requirements with the order picker and loader so each has a clear understanding of load order, temperature requirements, date restrictions if any, Halal labeling if required, use of temperature recorders if required by the customer and any special loading requirements based on customer needs. Assist billing clerks with questions regarding loaded trailers. Coordinates with billing clerks and dock supervisors in the shipping, labeling and inspection of exports orders.
