About The Position

We are seeking Clinical Social Workers I/II to work within our Behavioral Health Division at our Adolescent Health and Wellness Center- a community health center serving our adolescent youth in our community. As a Clinical Social Worker, you will utilize evidence-based approaches to provide clinical services, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health and emotional disorders. You will work with diverse populations to promote mental well-being and facilitate access to resources and support systems, while under clinical supervision to acquire clinical hours towards an LCSW. This position is stationed onsite in the Adolescent Health Center, with a Monday through Friday 9am-6pm schedule.

Requirements

Master's Degree in Social Work from Accredited Institution is required.
NYS Licensed LMSW is required (or LCSW)
2 years of experience providing psychotherapy
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
Ability to identify high-risk psychosocial factors in patients and families that impact health status.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual Spanish/English is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Provides bio-psychosocial and behavioral health assessments to adolescent patients.
Conducts individual psychotherapy and counseling services.
Maintains skills and knowledge in clinical theory and practice to help patients overcome dependencies, adjust to life, and make changes.
Provides counseling to family members to assist with understanding and supporting patients.
Engages in crisis intervention when necessary and refers patients or family to community resources.
Provides consultation to medical providers.
Collaborate with physicians to develop and implement treatment and intervention programs.
Participate in clinical team meetings.
