About The Position

Livehaul Mechanic Full Time - Hourly Day Shift hours 7:00 am – 5:00 pm, OT as necessary At Hormel Foods, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base hiring pay range for this role is between $27.00 - $38.00 per hour, and your actual base pay within that range will depend upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skill set, level of experience, and geographic market location. Requirements

Have strong mechanical abilities.
Have good basic math skills.
Have above average reading and writing skills.
Able to lift/carry 50 lbs.
Able to work in a cold, wet, humid, hot and/or dusty environment.
Able to work with heights and in confined spaces.
Must be able to pass a lung function test to be certified to wear a self-contained breathing apparatus or gas mask which requires no facial hair in areas where the face mask seals against the face.
Able to be on-call every other week.
Must possess a current Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with no restrictions & current DOT medical exam certificate

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair Live Haul equipment.
Move equipment to farms and repair shop.
Do shop and equipment safety inspections.
Assist others in shop when needed.
Maintain and clean shop area.
Maintain accurate inventory.
Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
