About The Position

Position Summary: The Live Haul Truck Driver is responsible for operating a commercial vehicle with a capacity of more than 3 tons to transport live poultry or related materials to and from designated locations in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and company regulations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One to three months of related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements.
• Must maintain current DOT medical certification .
• Must meet company insurability requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operates a commercial motor vehicle safely and in compliance with all DOT and company regulations.
• Completes and maintains driver logs and other required documentation.
• Maintains regular communication with the supervisor for instructions and updates.
• Performs pre- and post-trip inspections, reporting any issues promptly.
• Ensures cleanliness of truck compartments to prevent contamination.
• Assists with load/unload procedures and operational support as needed.
• Keeps truck interior and exterior clean and presentable.
• Complies with all company safety rules and procedures.
• Maintains a valid Class A CDL with appropriate endorsements and a current DOT physical.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
