About The Position

Takes live birds from conveyors and hangs them in shackles. Lift live poultry from the supply conveyer and hang the birds by their feet from a shackle conveyor.

Requirements

• Must be able to stand 100% of the work day.
• Gripping and repetitive use of hands.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, and climb steps.
• Must be comfortable working in organic conditions - environment is very dirty, room is dark (red light,) and temperatures can get very hot in spring and summer months.

Responsibilities

• Work at a pace necessary to keep the production line full at all times.
• Lift live poultry from the supply conveyor and hang live birds on a moving shackle line.
• Meet birds per minute ratio for premium pay.
• Physically inspect products for both natural occurring and processing defects.
• Comply with written plant policies and procedures.
• Identify and report any suspicious or abnormal situations to their immediate supervisor or plant management official such as product tampering, unauthorized employees in restricted area, and equipment malfunction that may put product wholesomeness at stake.
• Must be dependable.
• Performance must stay at proficient level in order to keep premium.
