Requirements
- Excellent writing, grammar, proofreading skills, and meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent word processing skills and intermediate-level use of Microsoft Office Suite, .pdf editing software, and related legal software, including electronic document management systems
- Possess strong organizational and time management skills
- Proven success as a positive team player, as well as an independent worker
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
Nice To Haves
- Law firm and/or litigation experience, a plus
- Experience using attorney timekeeping and document management systems a plus
- Familiarity with basic online resources
Responsibilities
- Assist with entry of attorneys’ time
- Manage docketing events, deadlines, scheduling orders, meetings and conference calls
- Assist with client intake
- Open and maintain client files
- Provide clerical support to attorneys, paralegals and legal administrative assistants including backup overflow assistance
- Assist with monthly billing
- Project work, as assigned
