The College of Education and Social Services (CESS) at the University of Vermont invites nominations and applications for a full-time, nine-month, tenure-track position in the Department of Education beginning Fall 2026, at the rank of Associate or Full Professor. We seek a literacy scholar motivated by the opportunity to contribute to the CESS mission to "create a more humane and just society". The successful candidate will demonstrate an active program of literacy research as evidenced by publications in top tier peer-reviewed scholarly outlets, competitive extramural funding, excellence in teaching and advising, and contributions to academic and professional service activities.
