The College of Education is seeking a career academic with a record of excellence in teaching, research, and service, who has rich experience in both teaching in doctoral programming and in dissertation support, including committee service and leadership. The successful candidate will also bring experience in educator preparation and have expertise in at least one content area considered as a STEM field. Furthermore, the successful candidate will preferably have experiences in administrative leadership that offered substantial opportunity to be involved in and/or to supervise functions connected to compliance and accreditation within a college of education. Because the faculty member in this role would bring rich experience in the Academy, they will also be in a position to mentor faculty and staff and potentially serve in programmatic leadership. In-load teaching duties will be assigned. Number of courses will depend on program assignment (e.g., maximum 4:4, but could be 2:2 depending on percent of assignment to the doctoral program anticipated to start in August 2026). Scope College of Education Faculty and Program Leadership Duties Essential: In collaboration with the Dean, Chair, and doctoral program Director this faculty member will teach in the doctoral program anticipated for start in August 2026, serve as a dissertation chair and committee member, lead initiatives to establish and coordinate innovative educator preparation programs/models, and serving as a senior faculty member support implementation and sustainability of programmatic and structured faculty and staff mentoring programs.
