About The Position

Under direction is responsible for installation and facilitating optimization of the laboratory information system to best support Saint Francis Medical Center's business goals and operational functions. -Leads LIS implementation team. -Leads and directs operational implementation of software additions/revisions including validation, operating procedures, development/revision, and training in coordination with department management. -Provides project management and serves as liaison between the laboratory and software vendors as well as the Information Systems department to facilitate prioritization and monitoring of approved projects. -Serves as liaison between the laboratory and other internal/external customers. -Determines resources needed for project implementation and maintenance functions. -Understands functionality of interfaces between instruments and the LIS as well as foreign system interfaces. -May require working irregular hours.

Requirements

  • Bachelors or Associates degree required
  • Associates Science Required
  • Certification required as an MLS (ASCP), MT (ASCP), CLS (NCA), or MLT (ASCP).
  • Minimum of three years of general laboratory experience.
  • May require working irregular hours.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior computer experience preferred.
