We are searching for a Technical Coordinator POCT/LIS -- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will Oversees and coordinates POCT (Point of Care testing) activities including regulatory compliance, training, quality, monitoring and maintenance of the POCT equipment interfaces and the POCT database. Oversees and coordinates laboratory information systems (LIS) activities including, training, upgrades, testing, troubleshooting and implementation of equipment interfaces as they relate to Texas Children's policy & procedures. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Science required If a Master of Science degree then the following would apply: • One year of experience in a laboratory setting • Laboratory information systems and information systems experience Required Licenses/Certifications: BB-ASCP - Cert-Tech Blood Bank by the ASCP or C-ASCP - Cert-Technologist in Chemistry by the ASCP or CG-ASCP - Cert-Technologist Cytogenetics by the ASCP or CLSP-NCA - Clinical Laboratory Spec.-NCANCA or H-ASCP - Cert-Technologist Hematology by the ASCP, M-ASCP or Cert-Technologist Microbiology by the ASCP or MB-ASCP -Cert-Tech Molecular Biology by the ASCP or MLS-ASCP - Cert-Medical Lab Scientist by the ASCP or MP-ASCP - Cert-Tech Molecular Pathology by the ASCP or MT-AMT - Medical Technologist – AMTAMT or MT-ASCP - Cert-Medical Technologist by the ASCP or MT-STATE - Medical Tech. - Any State by Any State or SBB-ASCP - Cert-Specialist Blood Banking by the ASCP or SC-ASCP - Cert-Specialist in Chemistry by the ASCP 1 year experience in a laboratory setting required Certification in one of the above may substitute for one year of experience, with a Bachelor's degree.
